TURN OFF YOUR TV: This Week’s Live Performances in Pagosa Springs

I have XM/Sirius, and the station I listen to the most is Classic Vinyl, which plays classic rock and blues.  So when Rockola quietly disappeared into what I have coined “bar band quick sand”, I was sad, but not surprised.  Rockola saturated the local market many months back, and that hurt them.  Some of their members moved on.

But good news for those of us who love to listen and dance and sing along to classic rock!  Rockola, comprised of Jammer Greg on lead guitar and vocals, Mark Sudden on rhythm and vocals, Bill Hudson back on bass (yeah!) and vocals, and Dave Chambers behind the drums, will be back in action at Bear Creek tomorrow night (that’s Friday) starting at 9pm.  I hope to see you there for a good dancin’ time!

Then, on Sunday, an original rockin’ blues band and one of my favorites, Ebeniezer and the Crooked Hookers will be playing at the Buffalo Inn to wrap the ski season with a Closing Day Rock ‘n Roll Blowout.  Ebeniezer features lead singer Chris Hass, Chris Raap on guitar, Brooks Lindner on bass and vocals, Matt Degelman on harp (that’s harmonica), and Miro Lagioia on drums.

A $5 cover charge will go towards the completion of Ebeniezer’s debut CD, which is 90% recorded, but still needs to be mixed, mastered, and printed.  Just think, you can own a part of this debut CD by attending the Sunday event.  At least you can pretend you do…

New rock band Quarter Round, comprised of Robby Shoffner, Josh Price, and Cassidy Sky, will make their debut as the opening act for Ebeniezer, starting at 8pm.
