Informative, Neutral Amendment 69/ColoradoCare Articles

Thanks for your interest in learning more about Amendment 69, which will appear on the November 8 ballot.

There’s a lot of half-truths and misinformation presented and published on Amendment 69/ColoradoCare.  So I’ve conducted my own extensive research, and have compiled a list of links to neutral organizations that have analyzed the pros and cons of Amendment 69, and its cost to you and Colorado.

The actual Amendment 69 is a must-read, and the best place to begin your education.

A comprehensive but fairly easy-to-read analysis by Colorado Health Institute.

An even more comprehensive analysis from Ballopedia that includes some history and interesting asides.

An article in the Durango Daily Telegraph that shows the planned increases by health insurance companies, and the results of a survey that has Amendment 69 prevailing at the polls.

An article in the Denver Post about the size of ColoradoCare – bigger than McDonald’s.

The following PDF from Independence Institute is a good summary (and handout), and offers a conclusion about ColoradoCare.

The New CMS (Colorado Medical Society) website has several pages, two of which list the pros and cons of the current system and proposed ColoradoCare, primarily from the physicians’ perspective.  You can get to the links from this ColoradoCare page on the CMS website.  CMS is sponsoring the August 8 unbiased presentation in Salida.

The above information should educate you on Amendment 69/ColoradoCare.
